‘’Born from water,
I welcome you back
from our swampy origins and fishy beginnings
pleased to see you again
an endless circle that keeps on flowing
into the sea, you never left
growing from light, you evolve and transform along a stream of consciousness
collective thoughts that merge within
leaking past our human sleeves
since our current state as bags of mostly water it isn’t mere objectification
but the carrier bag of life since water is life
it is the source of our watery womb
a symbiotic evolutionary process as a conduct of life
in and of water we exist but whom is we?
no body can ever fully know water
water remains one step ahead and beyond the limits of any body
so it is time to emerge from our bodies
and let our watery selves be just that
becoming one if all bodies are of water
then your water is mine and mine is yours
me yet beyond me, is the we that water talks about
all planetary to which water belongs and perhaps even beyond
consisting of water’s deepest desires,
where we learn to deal with the ocean’s pressure
to the vapor of our spirits created by heat
to the memories we collect carrying each other across generations and species
I’ll keep inviting you to imagine your watery existence
to re-evaluate
connecting us all and find ways to flow besides yourself
as bodies of water forever evolving and shifting
in a temporality that anticipates the past and remembers the future’’
